Recruit Yourself – Interview with a candidate

    By admin | Job Seekers, Self-Employed | 0 comment | 7 February, 2023 | 3

We wanted to provide you with an insight from one of our current candidate experiences using Recruit Yourself.

    What is your profession?
My current profession at the moment is a Mentor with children who require daily assistance and support throughout their lives.

How long have you been working in profession?
Through Recruit yourself, I have been working for you since March 2022. I have been a carer on and off during the last 3 years in various locations.

How did you hear about RY?
I was working through an agency at the time and the business I was working for; the manager recommended Recruit Yourself and briefly told me about the benefits it offered compared to working for a typical agency. Recruit yourself allowed me to continue a flexible working pattern and the business I wanted to work for was advertising which worked out perfect for me.

What job was you doing before joining Recruit Yourself?
I was doing similar work before with two agencies which involved moving to different locations on each shift which could be nerve wracking I suppose as you didn’t know what your walking into. Using Recruit Yourself still provided the flexibility of choosing when you work and being able to work in the same place every shift. By working in the same places allows you to build a rapport with the children and staff that you are working with.

Tell us more about what you hope to achieve within your career?
On a personal level, currently I cannot work full-time due to having a child. However, eventually I would like to become permeant within the current company I work for as this would allow me to complete my level 3 and progress within my career more.

How long have you been using RY?
In March 2023, it will be a whole year that I have been using Recruit Yourself and seems to have flown by.

How long did it take you to get setup?
The process did not take long at all and I received lots of help from the Recruit Yourself team. I was one of the first users on the system and have been on the journey of Recruit Yourself establishing themselves and making improvements. The whole process was very straightforward to sign up and get started.

How easy is it for employers to pay you through RY?
You can either chose two different payment options which are : Instant payout which will be in your bank within hours but does have a 2% fee charge or standard payout will be within your bank in 5-7 working days.

What was the main reason you joined Recruit Yourself?
When working for the agencies, the job I am currently doing was advertising through Recruit Yourself hence the reason joining. The business I was covering shifts for made me feel welcome and I felt that’s where I belong and using Recruit Yourself offered more practical benefits. Recruit Yourself has also provided me with some structure within my work life and given me a better balance.

What do you like most about Recruit Yourself?
I like how simple recruit yourself is to use such as the recording shifts on the timesheets and it creates invoices for you once you have received payment. On Recruit Yourself, you can see all your hours and your earnings at a click of a button making it easy to complete your tax return.

Would you recommend us to others?
Yes I would recommend you and happy to provide feedback to help with improvements.
